With excitement for the “Big Game” heating up, UnityPoint Health – Trinity is gearing up for its own gridiron-inspired showdown – the second annual Trinity BirthPlace Baby Bowl.

The friendly competition celebrates the number of newborn boys and girls born at the Bettendorf and Moline BirthPlace locations over four weeks. The competition kicks off Sunday, Jan. 12, leading up to the Superbowl on Sunday, Feb. 9.

UnityPoint said in a news release that it will be sharing updates at “halftime,” or midway during the competition on Facebook. Final results will be announced during a “post-game report” after the “Big Game.”

“The first Baby Bowl competition was such a fun experience for everyone involved,” Kelli

Sieverding, RN, Trinity BirthPlace Bettendorf manager, said in the release. “Our team members along with the families welcoming little ones enjoyed getting into the spirit of this friendly competition. It’s such a fun and unique way to celebrate the newest additions to our community.”

“Every baby’s arrival is a special moment, and we’re proud to celebrate these milestones with our families,” added Sarah Turner, RN, BSN, Trinity BirthPlace Moline manager.

Trinity BirthPlace proudly welcomes approximately 1,800 babies annually across its Moline and Bettendorf locations. Both facilities have been nationally recognized for their outstanding maternity care, which UnityPoint said is a testament to the exceptional dedication of their team. Trinity BirthPlace has a team of expert nurses, doctors and health educators who work with families during pregnancy and post pregnancy to ensure a safe and healthy delivery.
