A pair of key Quad Cities Chamber community economic development leaders were recently included in Consultant Connect’s 2023 list of North America’s Top 50 Economic Developers.

Chris Caves and Tami Petsche, vice presidents of business and economic growth for the chamber, were nominated by their colleagues. They were honored for excellent practices, innovation and success in helping build the Quad Cities region, the chamber said in a news release.

Their efforts to attract businesses to the region has resulted in investments of millions of dollars in the Quad Cities, the chamber said.

“Economic development is a team sport,” Ms. Petsche said in the release. “I credit my colleagues and community partners with contributing to this achievement. The collaboration that happens here in the Quad Cities is one of the things that makes our region so great.”

Ms. Caves added: “Tami and I work with a huge amount of energy and effort to support local companies and attract new investment to the region. To be recognized through this award is a testament to the exceptional quality of work being done by our peers towards building a stronger Quad Cities.”

The chamber leaders will receive their awards at Consultant Connect’s ECONOMIX event in Atlanta on Nov. 30.

“The Consultant Connect team looks forward to releasing the Top 50 list every year because we believe that the work of economic developers is not only transformative to communities, but it is deeper than that,” said Carla Sones, managing director of Consultant Connect.

“Each year jobs are created that impact individuals and their families,” she said. “We are truly honored to provide a platform for North America’s top economic developers to be recognized for the passionate commitment they have made to the communities they serve.”

At the event, the region’s chamber leaders also will have the opportunity along with other recipients to share their industry knowledge, leadership insights and career wisdom with fellow industry professionals in collaboration with Consultant Connect.
