Per Mar Security Systems has acquired Homeguard Security in Des Moines, the Davenport-based security solutions provider announced recently.
In a news release, Per Mar said that Homeguard has utilized Per Mar as the company’s Monitoring Center for the past 23 years. The new acquisition will allow Per Mar, a residential and commercial security provider, to build upon its relationships with Homeguard customers by providing them with service and security solutions as well.
Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
“We’ve worked with Homeguard customers for a very long time through our monitoring relationship, and we are excited to begin serving these customers directly,” Per Mar CEO Brian Duffy said in the release.
Established in 1953, Per Mar is the largest, family-owned, full-service security firm in the Midwest with more than 2,800 employees and 25 branch locations.
The latest acquisition comes on the heels of a January announcement that its Per Mar Background Check Services division launched a new technology partnership with UKG.
