Women Lead Change roll out QC manufacturing program

After piloting a new Level Up Manufacturing program this year in Cedar Rapids, the Iowa-based Women Lead Change (WLC) is launching the program in the Quad Cities in 2023.

Level Up is designed to support those in the manufacturing industry in the Quad Cities region who are currently in mid-level management roles, and on a trajectory for management leadership roles. The six-week program will support participants in gaining leadership insight, skills and experiences that they can apply personally and professionally.

The Quad Cities program will run from February to March, while the program will return to Cedar Rapids in April and May.

Quad Cities manufacturing leaders can now apply to attend, and applications are due Friday, Jan. 20. For more information and to apply, visit here

Weekly sessions will focus on Leadership Presence, Emotional Intelligence, Fierce Conversations, Inclusive Cultures, and Growth Mindset.

The program is designed for both women and men who are current managers, supervisors, line leads and more who are expected to be in leadership roles in the near future. In the pilot program, 21 people participated representing eight companies in the corridor.

To be eligible, candidates must be endorsed by their organizations and approved for participation by their direct leaders/supervisors. All applicants should be able to meet the commitment expectations.

The cost for Level Up is $2,500/person, or $2,000/person for 2+ people. Classes will be held in person and include lunch, learning session, and peer-to-peer networking. The schedule is as follows: lunch, noon-12:30 p.m.; session, 12:30-2 p.m.; and questions & networking, 2-2:30 p.m.
