St. Ambrose offers new $2K faith learning justice scholarship

St. Ambrose University will offer a new $2,000 Faith Learning Justice Scholarship in Fall 2023.

The renewable scholarship aims to recognize select first-year and transfer students who are active participants in their faith-based community and wish to develop as ministry leaders on campus through participation in local service and justice initiatives.

“We are so excited to offer a scholarship to students who have demonstrated a commitment to their faith and wish to grow as leaders in campus ministry,” said Tammy Norcross-Reitzler, director of campus ministry. “The scholarship affirms our mission to be a welcoming community where students will strengthen their faith and form lasting relationships with God and one another.”

To qualify for this scholarship, the student must agree to the following:

  • Attend Bee Connected New Student Retreat.
  • Participate in the Busy Student Retreat.
  • Join at least one campus ministry organization: Ambrosians for Peace and Justice, Bees For Life, Bridge Bible Fellowship, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, music ministry, or a small faith-sharing group.
  • Participate in one service activity per semester.
  • Meet monthly with a member of campus ministry staff to set goals and reflect on experiences.

Faith Learning Justice Scholarships cannot be combined with athletic or fine arts scholarships.

The scholarship is renewable each year of undergraduate studies. It is open for admitted first-year or transfer students – domestic or international – who plan to enroll in the Fall 2023.

Students must submit a completed scholarship application by Sunday, Jan. 15, and recipients will be announced in February.
