UnityPoint Health – Robert Young Center and the Center for Alcohol & Drug Services, Inc. (CADS) is looking to grow its dedicated team of mental health and substance use disorder professionals during an in-person hiring event, on Thursday, Sept. 26.
The hiring event will be from 4-7 p.m. at the Robert Young Center Community Support Program building. Ut is located at 2200 3rd Ave., Rock Island.
Outpatient clinic, crisis services, community-based and residential treatment positions will be hired. They include:
- Behavioral health technicians.
- Care coordinators.
- Licensed counselors.
- Mental health professionals.
- RNs.
- Peer recovery specialists.
- Social workers.
- Substance use disorder counselors.
Sign on bonuses are available for most roles.
“We recognize the critical importance of behavioral health in the well-being of our community and that’s why UnityPoint Health – Robert Young Center continues to take action to expand mental health and substance use disorder services we provide to the communities we serve in eastern Iowa and western Illinois,” Mary Petersen, chief operations officer at Robert Young Center, said in a news release.
In June, the federal government selected 10 new states to join the Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) demonstration project. It included both Iowa and Illinois. The CCBHC program is designed to expand and improve access to comprehensive range of mental health and substance use services throughout the U.S.

Robert Young Center was selected as one of nine agencies in Iowa and one of 15 in Illinois to be included in the CCBHC program. New hires will help carry out the program requirements.
