Muscatine to welcome 13 river cruise visits this summer, fall

    MUSCATINE, Iowa – American Cruise Lines (ACL) — a national leader in small‑ship cruising — will port in Muscatine 13 times throughout 2026, bringing hundreds of visitors to experience the community’s cultural, historic, and natural attractions.

    “The arrival of American Cruise Lines throughout the 2026 season is an exciting opportunity to showcase Muscatine’s history, culture, and hospitality,” said Muscatine City Administrator Matt Mardesen. “We look forward to welcoming visitors from across the country and sharing what makes our riverfront community special.”

    Two ACL vessels, the American Melody and American Serenade, will dock at the Muscatine Riverfront on scheduled dates from June through October.

    “Muscatine has always been a community that takes pride in its riverfront and its people,” Muscatine Mayor Brad Bark said. “Hosting American Cruise Lines gives us another chance to share our story, support our local businesses, and welcome new visitors to experience the charm and character that makes Muscatine unique.”

    Local tour guides will accompany guests on the motor coaches and provide information about Muscatine while they are traveling between stops. Points of interest included on the tour are the National Pearl Button Museum, the Muscatine Art Center, and the Environmental Learning Center.  Guests will also have the opportunity for premium excursions that include Geneva Golf and Country Club, the Stanley Center for Peace and Security, and the Pine Creek Grist Mill.

    Here are the scheduled Muscatine docking dates for the cruises:

    • American Melody on Monday, June 8.
    • American Serenade on Monday, June 29.
    • American Serenade on Tuesday, July 14.
    • American Serenade on Tuesday, July 28.
    • American Serenade on Tuesday, Aug. 11.
    • American Melody on Tuesday, Aug. 18.
    • American Serenade on Tuesday, Aug. 25.
    • American Melody on Tuesday, Sept. 1.
    • American Serenade on Tuesday, Sept. 8.
    • American Melody on Tuesday, Sept. 15.
    • American Serenade on Tuesday, Sept. 22.
    • American Melody on Tuesday, Sept. 29.
    • American Melody on Tuesday, Oct. 13.

    The ships will arrive the evening prior to their port date and depart at 1 p.m. on their port date. No tours of the ships will be available to the public.

    Residents and visitors are welcome at Riverside Park to view the boats and are invited to participate in a warm farewell send off as the ships depart.  The parking lot in front of the main dock and Pearl City Station will be closed, and parking will be available between the Mississippi Harvest and upper boat dock.
