REDEEM elects new board, officers 

Revitalize and Develop East Moline (REDEEM) elected its 2024 board of directors and its slate of officers at its annual meeting Thursday, March 21. 

The REDEEM board elected these directors and officers: Dr. Jay Morrow, president; Jennifer Hirsch, vice president and treasurer; Tadd Griffith, secretary; and Tim Knanishu, executive vice president. 

In addition, REDEEM’s membership approved these individuals as directors of the economic development organization: Larry Anderson, East Moline Glass Co.; Eric Davis, Oertel Metal Works; Jerry Lack, Tri-City Building and Construction Trades Council; Jeff Murphy, Murphy Insurance; John Stopoulos, business owner; and Greg Theis, Mid-American Energy Corp. 

During the meeting, REDEEM leaders also reviewed the progress of various ongoing and new projects in East Moline. They include updates on: projects in support of the city’s federal RAISE grant for its downtown master plan; continuing success of The Bend; recent residential development in The Quarter; and other projects. 

The not-for-profit organization is dedicated to promoting commercial, industrial and recreational development in East Moline that enhances both the tax base and the quality of life.
