Per Mar Security Services, the largest family-owned, full-service security company in the Midwest, announced Thursday, Feb. 1, that it has acquired Global Security Group.
Financial details about the transaction were not disclosed.
Since opening its doors in 2010, Global Security Group – led by Montague Hall – has specialized in providing physical security guards in the larger Chicago area. The team operates out of its local office in Oak Brook Terrace at 17W745 E. Butterfield Road, Suite A/B.
The Davenport-based Per Mar has hired the team and will continue to serve customers out of this location.
“Monty built a great business, and we are flattered that he chose us to serve his customers and Employees,” said Brad Duffy, president of Per Mar’s security officer division. “We are excited to expand upon our existing presence in Chicago and grow in the future.”
In a news release, Per Mar said its nearby branch in Des Plaines, Illinois, will work with Global Security’s location to service the greater Chicago region.
Founded in 1953, Per Mar Security Services is the Midwest’s largest, family-owned, full-service security company. It employs more than 2,800 team members and operates 26 branch locations. The company marked its 70th anniversary in 2023. It is now led by the third generation of the Duffy family.
The company provides full-service security solutions for homes and businesses. That includes live video monitoring, security officer services, smart home automation, burglar and fire alarms, access control, security cameras, alarm monitoring, investigative services, and background checks.
