Lead(h)er, a mentorship program for Quad Cities area women, has chosen Hannah Howard, of Muscatine, as its new executive director. She assumed the new role Monday, Sept. 18.

Ms. Howard, who most recently served with the Greater Muscatine Chamber of Commerce & Industry, replaces Megan Brown-Saldana, who left the nonprofit organization in August to become the donor relations director for Humility Homes & Services, Inc., Davenport.

“We are so excited to have Hannah take on this role,” Anika Martin, Lead(h)er’s board president said in a news release on Wednesday, Sept. 20, announcing the new director. “Her energy, community engagement experience and fantastic communication skills make her a great fit. We can’t wait for our match community and all of our community partners to get to know her.”

Ms. Howard most recently served as director of Business Services & Community Development for the Muscatine chamber organization.

Passionate about advancing Lead(h)er’s mission of empowering women, she said in the release: “I am thrilled to lead an organization that fuels career and community engagement for women. I am passionate about this organization because I personally experienced the power of mentorship as a mentee in the Strike A Match mentoring program.”

“I look forward to serving the women of the Quad Cities through my new role and connecting with our wonderful community partners,” she added.

The community is invited to welcome and meet Ms. Howard at Lead(h)er’s annual Birthday Party  on Saturday, Sept. 23. The event will be from 5 to 8 p.m. and hosted at Mercado on 5th in downtown Moline. Festivities include an evening of fun and games to celebrate 1,100 women served with individualized membership.
