Help Lead(h)er celebrates 7th Birthday, Girl on Fire awards

Lead(h)er Girl on Fire

Lead(h)er is turning seven years old in 2023 and to celebrate the organization is once again honoring women in its Strike a Match Mentoring Program who have exemplified the organization’s mission of fueling career and community engagement in the workforce.

Registration now is open for the 2023 Girl on Fire Award Mentor and Mentee of the Year nominations at www.leadherqc.org/birthday.

Lead(h)er, a unique woman-to-woman mentoring organization in the Quad Cities, also is urging supporters to meet its members under the Big Top for its birthday party on Wednesday, Sept. 23, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Mercado on Fifth.

With the $50 ticket, attendees can enjoy games, talent acts, a catered dinner, and watch the Girl on Fire Awards recipients announced live. Anyone in the community is welcome to join the party and celebrate seven years of striking matches for women in the workforce! Tickets are available for purchase here.

Area organizations and businesses also are stepping up to make sure all women in our community have access to free individualized mentorship. Lead(h)er said it is so grateful to have Northwest Bank and Trust sponsor Lead(h)er’s Annual Birthday Party. Sponsorship opportunities are available by contacting Leadherqc@gmail.com.

To date, Lead(h)er has matched 861 mentors and mentees in the region. Lead(h)er is a free resource due to the generosity of our sponsors. Learn more about how to get involved at www.leadherqc.org.
