Girl Scouts invite women to weekend GLAMP fundraiser

Women over age 21 can enjoy a relaxing days outdoors at the Girl Scouts of Western Illinois and Eastern Iowa's GLAMP fundraiser.

NEW LIBERTY, Iowa – Registration is open for women, over the age of 21, to spend 24 hours relaxing, laughing and having fun in the outdoors with their girlfriends at the annual GLAMP fundraiser in October for Girl Scouts of Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois. 

GLAMP will take place at the organization’s Camp Liberty, at 4415 295th St., near New Liberty, and just outside the Quad Cities. The event will be Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 5-6, with an optional Friday, Oct. 4, night sleepover and pre-GLAMP party. 

Register at While registering for the Girl Scout fundraiser, GLAMPers will design their schedules, selecting from sessions like horseback riding, canoeing, archery, zip-lining, hiking, and mixology. 

Attendees can hang around the fire with a glass of wine or test their outdoor skills. Activities and accommodations are designed for women with all levels of outdoor experience.
