Three Davenport businesses received approval for loans totaling $215,000 through the Iowa District Office of the U.S. Small Business Association (SBA) in the month of April.
In total, the U.S. SBA backed 52 loans totaling $18,907,700 to Iowa businesses from participating lenders using its two largest lending programs. The Iowa April loans will create 212 new jobs and retain 202.Â
Three Scott County businesses were awarded loans in April. The businesses and the amount of loans they received were:
- Glass Heritage, Davenport, $150,000, to retain 12 existing jobs as the glass and glazing contractors.
- Lillicrap Inc., Davenport, $50,000 at the existing sign manufacturing business which employs five.
- Dependable Delivery, Inc., Davenport, $15,000 for a new local general freight trucking business with one employee.       Â
Last month’s loan totals were down from March which saw six businesses in the Iowa Quad Cities approved for $2.7 million in loans through the Iowa District Office of the U.S. Small Business Association (SBA).
