Applications for the IHMVCU 2025 Cash for Class scholarship are now open. IHMVCU has partnered with the Dream Educational Foundation to offer more than $30,000 in scholarships to area high school, college, and post-graduate students looking to further their education.
IHMVCU has provided nearly $400,000 in scholarships to more than 300 students over the past 25 years. Students with a strong academic track record and a passion for giving back to their community are encouraged to apply.
“As a credit union, our mission has always been to support the financial well-being of our members, and that extends to helping them achieve their educational goals. Offering scholarships is one of the many ways we can invest in the future of our communities, empowering students to succeed and reduce the financial burden of higher education,” the credit union’s CEO and President Brian Laufenberg said in a news release. “We’re proud to play a role in making education more accessible and are excited to support the next generation of leaders.”
Students who are IHMVCU members by the application deadline and are graduating high school seniors or current college students at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school are eligible to apply. Applicants must submit an online application, a written or video essay and two recommendation letters before 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28.
