BBB Recognizes 2023 Torch Award Winners

The Better Business Bureau Serving Greater Iowa (BBB) recently honored businesses for their outstanding examples of honesty and integrity in the marketplace, and awarded BBB scholarships to students for their personal integrity. 

The 2023 BBB Torch Award for Business Ethics recipients in the Quad Cities area include:

  • Handicapped Development Center, Davenport.
  • Helitech, Rock Island. 
  • IH Mississippi Valley Credit Union, Moline.

The 2023 BBB Students of Integrity recipients in the Quad Cities area include:

  • Anna Current, Clinton High School.
  • Genesis Reyes-Granados, Alleman Catholic High School.

“This award wouldn’t be possible without the 450-plus team members that make up IHMVCU,” said Brian Laufenberg, IHMVCU president and CEO, in a news release from the Moline-based credit union. “They work every day as advocates for our members and find ways to help reduce their financial stress and reach their financial best.”

This year’s honor also marks Helitech’s seventh Torch.  

“We are delighted to receive the BBB Ethics Torch Award in the Quad Cities area,” Brett Campbell, executive vice president at Helitech, said in a news release from the company. 

“At Helitech, we have always prioritized ethical conduct and strived to foster trust with our customers, employees and community,” he added. “This award validates our unwavering commitment to maintaining the highest standards of honesty, fairness and accountability. We are immensely proud of our team’s efforts and the values we uphold.”
