Aging Adult Resource Fair, new senior center sneak peek April 26

Aging Adult Resource Center Senior Resources

MUSCATINE, Iowa – Senior Resources, in collaboration with Community Health Care and HyVee, will hold the second annual Aging Adult Resource Fair. It’s from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Friday, April 26, at Musserville Church, 1001 Oregon St.

The Aging Adult Resource Fair aims to bring together a wide range of services and resources designed specifically for the aging population in the county. Attendees will find information and connections to support their well-being and enhance their quality of life. 

Some vendors joining Senior Resources and Community Health Care are: The Alzheimer’s Association, The Good Samaritan, Pearl City Place, and The Community Y. Follow the Senior Resources Facebook page for more vendor announcements.

A special feature will be guided tours of the upcoming Muscatine Senior Center. They will provide attendees with a sneak peek into the activities planned for its pilot year. The center, scheduled to open Monday, May 6, is dedicated to enriching the lives of older adults through socialization, wellness, and leisure opportunities. 

“The Aging Adult Resource Fair is a fantastic opportunity for our community to come together and learn about the vital services available for our aging population,” Megan Francis, marketing director of Senior Resources, said in a news release. “In its second year, we are excited for this resource fair to kick off the pilot year of our new senior center.”

The resource fair is open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to bring friends and family to explore the offerings and gather information. Those interested in becoming a vendor or volunteering for the Senior Center should contact Megan Francis at mfrancis@crossroadsmuscatine.org.
