Mel Foster Co., a leader in real estate services for more than 100 years, has launched the Mel Foster Co. School of Real Estate.
This new venture, the company said in a news release, provides aspiring real estate professionals with the education and skills to launch careers and excel in today’s competitive market.
The Mel Foster Co. School of Real Estate offers a comprehensive curriculum covering essential topics such as property law, market analysis, negotiation strategies, professionalism and ethical practices, and cutting-edge real estate technology. Classes are led by seasoned industry professionals, offering students invaluable insights and mentorship from those with years of hands-on experience.
“We are thrilled to open the Mel Foster Co. School of Real Estate,” said Talent Acquisition and Agent Development Director Carie Nesbitt of Mel Foster Co. “As the real estate landscape continues to evolve, the need for well-trained, knowledgeable agents is greater than ever. Our goal is to equip students with the tools they need to succeed and positively impact their communities.”
She added that Mel Foster’s online school platform is now up and running. Current Iowa agents can take continuing education courses and new agents can take the 60-hour, Pre-License course. Iowa also requires three 12-hour in-person, pre-license courses prior to applying for your license.
Mel Foster will have three, 12-hour pre-license courses in November. They include:
- Listing Practices: Nov. 13-14, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Buying Practices: Nov. 15 and 18, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Developing Professionalism and Ethical Practices: Nov. 19-20, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Along with the pre-license courses and continuing education, the real estate company will also offer many additional training opportunities and mentorship programs for newly licensed agents as they begin their real estate careers, said Ms. Nesbitt.
“We have quite a few currently enrolled in the pre-license courses. There is not a limit, and we’d welcome anyone who is interested in learning more about the school and all that Mel Foster Co. has to offer to future and existing agents to reach out to me at any time,” Ms. Nesbitt told the QCBJ in an email.
Students who enroll in the Mel Foster Co. School of Real Estate will benefit from flexible class schedules, both in-person and online learning options, and ongoing support from the Mel Foster Co. network of real estate professionals. Graduates will be well-prepared to pursue licensure and begin their careers with a strong foundation in real estate.
