Military Retiree Appreciation Days (RADs) are designed specifically with the military retiree in mind. They are an outstanding source of the most up-to-date information for retirees and family members. Retirees from any service branch are eligible to attend, along with family members.
This annual event provides a chance to hear presentations from the Rock Island Commissary; TRICARE; ID Card Office; Rock Island National Cemetery; Rock Island Arsenal Museum; a legislative update from the Military Officers Association of America (MOAA); Social Security Office; Retirement Services Office (Nick Gimson – Fort McCoy, Wisconsin).
U.S. Army Corps of Engineers; Medical/Dental/Vision; Transition Assistance Program; Red Cross; Quad Cities Community Foundation; VA Health Care; service organizations and the Quad Cities Retiree Council (Nick Baker; Richard Lowe).
The keynote speaker at this year’s event is Lila Quintiliani, program director, Financial & Benefits Education/Counseling, MOAA.
