College BASH event set for Oct. 10

The Scott Community College BASH 2024 – a scholarship fundraising event with food and prizes – is set for 5:30-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, at the Quad Cities Waterfront Convention Center in Bettendorf.

Scott Community College culinary arts students and the Isle of Capri chefs will prepare dinner that will be served.

This yearly event raises vital funds to support student success at Scott Community College.

This year, the event focuses on raising funds for deserving student scholarships. Event organizers expect about 350 people to attend.

Guests will have the opportunity to contribute through donations, auctions, a live take-home cake auction, and an exclusive student supporter pin available for just $20. This year’s auction will feature a variety of exciting items, including:

  • A Green Bay Packers 2023 team-autographed football.
  • A VIP Night at Necker’s Jewelers in Davenport for you and 25 friends, which includes a $500 shopping spree, a $25 gift card for each guest, and provided appetizers and drinks.
  • Ticket vouchers to Bush Stadium for a St. Louis Cardinals baseball game.
  • Numerous gift baskets, wine selections, and gift cards.
  • For the first time ever, this year’s BASH will include a live auction of take-home desserts. Ten desserts, planned and prepared by SCC culinary students, will be packaged for you to take home and enjoy with your family.
