    The new 64,000-square-foot YWCA Quad Cities in downtown Rock Island has been five years in the making.

    Its champions have weathered a global pandemic and battled a supply chain meltdown that sent construction costs skyrocketing from $15.4 million to nearly $20 million, delayed material delivery and made completion a moving target.
