“This is a community we want to be involved with. … I want this business to feel unique to each person,” said Dr. Hoelting on Monday, Jan. 22, during a Quad Cities Chamber of Commerce ribbon-cutting ceremony to officially welcome the new business to the community. That event attracted about 15 people from the business community and members of Dr. Hoelting’s family, including his wife, Kathryn, and their two children, Lucy, 2 1/2 years old, and James, eight months old.In addition to the welcoming ceremony, QC Chamber members were given a tour of the small medical office, which is housed in one of the one-story brick office buildings that are part of the Kimberly Office Park near the intersection of Kimberly and Jersey Ridge roads.Dr. Hoelting said his new business home once housed another chiropractor who recently decided to move to Wisconsin. When that move was announced, Dr. Hoelting said he saw it as a sign to move back to his home community and continue his career. That return to his home roots spurred the name of the new business, Hometown Chiropractic.“We’re beginning to grow. It’s all about getting the word out on us,” he said, adding that his Hometown Chiropractic business had a soft opening in December, but just recently got all its equipment in to serve patients.People attending Monday’s opening ceremony for Hometown Chiropractic said they were happy to see another business in Davenport. They’re also happy to see another QC medical professional returning to the region.“We dream of this sort of thing. That’s so cool. … I’m starting to hear other stories like this, and it’s so neat,” Mayor Mike Matson, who is Dr. Hoelting’s father-in-law, said during Monday’s ceremony.Dr. Hoelting is a 2020 graduate of the Palmer College of Chiropractic. He specializes in extremity adjusting, diversified technique, Gonstead technique and Thompson technique, and he combines a diverse skill set to address various family needs, according to the Hometown Chiropractic website.Hometown is open Mondays through Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and 2:30 to 5:30 p.m.; and on Fridays from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The phone number is (563) 205-6670.The business is accepting new patients.
