For some people, the 2024 Quad Cities Farm and Equipment Show will be the place to see the latest tools and technology to help farmers get the job done. For others, it’s the place to reconnect with friends and customers, enjoy a meal and look inside the cabs of the latest tractors.

Thousands of visitors will be kicking the tires of those new tractors, looking at new technology and visiting with friends during the upcoming farm show, set for Sunday, Jan. 14, through Tuesday, Jan. 16, at the QCCA Expo Center, 2621 Fourth Ave., Rock Island.

The show, which has free admission and free parking, will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday; and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Tuesday.

This year’s show is expected to feature more than 100 vendors representing ag equipment makers and many other ag-related businesses and services, said Robert Junker, the QCCA Expo Center’s show director.

“We’re super excited to present this show again this year. … This is a great place for people to get a look at the new technology available and get everything they need for the farm,” he said.

Mr. Junker added that he expects this year’s farm and equipment show to attract a big crowd because of the free admission and the fact that the show has become a long tradition with many people in the ag community.

Last year’s farm show featured the traditional agricultural displays of tractors, planting equipment and many farm-related services. Some of those traditional classics last year included: Bobcats, Massey Ferguson tractors, New Holland tractors, John Deere equipment and much more. But it is also a time and place to showcase the latest advances in ag technology, such as drones that are used for crop dusting and other ag-related jobs.
