    An $11 million TCC Materials project is rising at 600 Slopertown Road, Eldridge.

    Project Name: TCC Materials

    Address: 600 Slopertown Road, Eldridge

    Owner/developer: TCC Materials 

    Contractor/builder: Treiber Construction, Davenport 

    Architect: Studio 483, Rock Island

    Cost: $11 million 

    Size: 45,000-square-feet facility on 46 acres.

    Description: TCC Materials is the leading manufacturer of packaged concrete products in the Upper Midwest. From large commercial projects to small repair projects, TCC’s network of companies manufacture a full line of products including concrete, mortar, grouts, sealers, shotcrete, repair & restoration, construction chemicals and additives, landscape solutions, and much more.


    New student housing for Palmer College of Chiropractic students is under construction along Perry Street in Davenport.

    Project Name: Palmer College of Chiropractic Student Housing

    Address: Located between East 10 and East 11th streets and between Perry Street and Pershing Avenue. 

    Investment: $22.9 million

    Contractor/builder: Estes Construction, Davenport 

    Architect: Studio 483, Rock Island 

    Description: Construction began on the new 99,500-square-foot building in May 2021 and is expected to be completed in fall 2022. The new building will be located on the east side of campus and will provide 115 housing units and accommodate up to 139 students.


    Construction is ongoing at the new Kadavy Orthodontics office at 60th Avenue, Bettendorf.

    Project Name: Kadavy Orthodontics

    Address: 60th Avenue, Bettendorf

    Contractor/builder: Primus Dental

    Architect: Primus Dental

    Description: According to its website, Kadavy Orthodontics offers friendly and family-oriented care, creating lifetimes of beautifully healthy and confident smiles.


    A Kick Serve Coffee on the Avenue of the Cities in Moline is under construction.

    Project Name: Kick Serve Coffee

    Address: 3637 Avenue of the Cities, Moline (corner of 39th Street and Avenue of the Cities)

    OWNER/DEVELOPER: Jackie and Tom Slininger

    CONTRACTOR/BUILDER: McDermott Const. Moline

    ARCHITECT: Streamline Architects, East Moline

    COST: $157,000

    Description: Kick Serve Coffee offers specialty espresso drinks, frappes, fruit smoothies, hand-crafted Italian sodas, and amazing energy drinks.


    A new Aldi Foods is being built at 3221 Devils Glen Road, Bettendorf, by Tri North Builders.

    Project Name: Aldi Foods

    Address: 3221 Devils Glen Road, Bettendorf

    Contractor/builder: Tri North Builders

    Size: 20,000 square feet 

    Description: Discount grocery store chain


    Work continues on the TWG Development loft housing project, Federal Point Complex, next to the new Davenport Y.

    Project Name: Federal Point Complex

    Address: 450 LeClaire St., Davenport

    Owner/developer: TWG

    Contractor/builder: TWG

    Cost: $39 million

    Size: 185 rental units

    Description: The new housing complex is being built adjacent to the R. Richard Bitner Family Y in downtown Davenport. It is scheduled for completion in December 2023.


    Quad Cities construction
    The former Gordman’s department store at 3860 Elmore Ave., Davenport, is being transformed into a Hy-Vee bakery and pharmacy facility.

    Project Name: Hy-Vee facility

    Address: 3860 Elmore Ave., Davenport

    Contractor/builder: Hy-Vee

    Size: 24,400 square feet  for pharmacy; 34,000 square feet for bakery

    Description: Former Gordmans department store being transformed into a Hy-Vee bakery (about 34,000 square feet) and a pharmacy (about 24,400 square feet). Gordmans closed in 2020.


    Quad Cities construction
    The old Checkers at 4010 Blackhawk Road, Rock Island has been remodeled into a new Atomic Coffee Bar. It is the brand’s third Quad Cities location.

    Project Name: Atomic Coffee Bar

    Address: 4010 Blackhawk Road Rock Island (Rock Valley Plaza)

    Description: Atomic Coffee Bar is known for its signature energy drinks and friendly drive-thru customer service.
