Fresh Films shines light on QC’s movie future

For the past several weeks, a small cast and a Fresh Films’ production crew from near and far have been busy filming a new ghostly streaming series known as “Dearly Departed.” On location at First Lutheran Church and its pastor’s house and surrounding grounds, located atop Rock Island’s 20th Street hill, Fresh Films is in full production mode. The stately church house with architecture of yesteryear and other Quad Cities sites are serving as backdrops in the filming of the six-episode “Dearly Departed.” A co-production between Fresh Films and Rock Media, it is planned for release later this year on the YouTube channel Rock Squad.  CREDIT JENNIFER DEWITT
