EAST PEORIA, Illinois – Quad Cities-based Frontier Hospitality Group (FHG) has expanded its property holdings with the opening of a new Hampton Inn by Hilton East Peoria.
The new four-story hotel, located along the Illinois River, officially opened its doors today, May 7. The property is developed and managed by FHG and marks its third hotel in East Peoria.
The 100-guest-room hotel represents a $21 million investment by FHG and is the Bettendorf company’s third hotel development in three years and eighth in 12 years. It will employ 20 to 25 employees.
“The Hampton Inn project is a superior brand in a superior location,” Dan Huber, FHG’s owner and CEO, said in a news release Thursday. “We are excited to have this beautiful new hotel situated at a gateway and riverfront location in East Peoria, and to represent Hilton’s Hampton brand with a modern fresh hotel.”
In the Quad Cities, Frontier owns and operates: Holiday Inn Express – Quad Cities International Airport, Moline; and these properties in Bettendorf: Cambria Hotel, Home2 Suites by Hilton, Courtyard by Marriott and SpringHill Suites by Marriott. Its other East Peoria locations are the
Holiday Inn Express & Suites and Residence Inn by Marriott.

The new Hampton Inn, located at 220 Conference Center Drive, offers views of the Illinois River and downtown Peoria from multiple guest rooms as well as from a large river-facing outdoor patio. Its spacious and comfortable guest rooms are equipped with a mini-fridge, microwave, and free Wi-Fi. Amenities serve both business and leisure travelers and include a great room, indoor pool, a fully equipped fitness center with Peloton bikes, complimentary hot breakfast, and guest laundry.
Grand opening planned

Davenport-based Russell served as the project’s general contractor.
To commemorate the opening, FHG will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony and grand opening celebration Thursday, June 4. Invited guests include officials with the City of East Peoria and representatives of the East Peoria Chamber of Commerce.
