The care centers in the Larson Center at MercyOne Genesis Silvis Medical Center will be closed for the remainder of today, Feb. 17. due to a water main break.
The care centers impacted include: Obstetrics and Gynecology Women’s Care Center at MercyOne Genesis; MercyOne Genesis Silvis Family Medicine; MercyOne Genesis Silvis Surgical Care; MercyOne Genesis Silvis Pulmonary Care; and MercyOne Genesis Silvis Pediatrics Care.

MercyOne Genesis Silvis Medical Center colleagues are following established protocols to deal with water supply disruption from the City of Silvis.
“We have had to deal with water main breaks before, so we are well-versed in minimizing the impact. We are treating patients within the medical center. Still, we have decided to close the Larson Center for the remainder of the day,” Theresa Main, president of MercyOne Genesis Silvis Medical Center, said in a news release.
Earlier in the day, MercyOne Genesis said the break forced delays to scheduled surgeries until the water service was restored.
