IMEG is expanding its landscape architecture expertise and its Northeast and Mid-Atlantic presence as a result of its merger with Boston-based Warner Larson, the Quad Cities engineering design firm announced.
The transaction was one of two such deals IMEG announced on Monday, Feb. 3, in separate news releases. Warner Larson is a leading landscape architecture firm specializing in community-focused and sustainable site design.
IMEG also announced that SSI Consulting LLC, a national leader in the design and inspection of silos and bulk handling facility layouts headquartered in Columbus, Ohio, has joined the Rock Island-based firm. Details about the financial transactions of both deals were not disclosed.
The addition of Warner Larson brings its eight employees to IMEG, which employs more than 28,000 team members nationwide. IMEG operates more than 100 offices including its Quad Cities headquarters in west Rock Island.
Founded in 1978, Warner Larson has built a reputation for delivering award-winning landscape architecture and site design solutions across the education, sports and recreation, government, commercial, and residential sectors, the release said. Its strategic and technical expertise in site development ensures functional, innovative, and environmentally responsible projects.
Creating ‘new synergies’
“We are excited to welcome Warner Larson to IMEG, expanding our landscape architecture expertise and regional presence in the Northeast,” IMEG President/CEO Paul VanDuyne said. “Their deep-rooted experience in site design and sustainability enhances IMEG’s ability to deliver integrated, high-performance solutions for clients across multiple sectors.”
Mr. VanDuyne added “This partnership creates new synergies that will drive innovation and growth in landscape and site development projects.”
By integrating with IMEG, Warner Larson President David Warner, a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA), said it allows the Boston firm to expand its own impact and suite of expertise “while maintaining the personal level of service they expect.”
He added “This partnership enables us to enhance our design capabilities with IMEG’s national resources and full service engineering expertise – all while staying true to our core values of transformative, people-focused, and solutions-driven design.”
The team will continue to operate from its Boston location, doing business as Warner Larson, now IMEG. Mr. Warner will continue to lead the team’s regional project operations and client outreach.
IMEG has previously expanded its existing landscape architecture team with the acquisitions of christopher consultants in 2022, Cameron Engineering in 2023, and FHI Studio in 2024.
