LECLAIRE – The LeClaire Levee will be filled with shiny Corvettes as the 2024 Vettes on the River rolls in on Saturday, Aug. 24.
The event, which is open to the public, will go from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. It is presented by FOR VETS, a not-for-profit organization. All money raised from Vettes on the River will be donated to Vietnam veterans’ organizations in the Quad Cities.
More than 250 Corvettes from across the country are expected to attend this year’s show, which will highlight Corvettes old and new right along the Mississippi River. Show organizers say there still is time to get a Corvette registered for the show. Go here for more information.
In addition to the car show, visitors can take a tour on the river aboard The Riverboat Twilight, which will offer 90-minute sightseeing cruises. Cruises depart at 11 a.m., 1:30 p.m., and 4 p.m. Tickets are $22. Find more details and purchase tickets at www.riverboattwilight.com.

The event schedule includes:
- 8 a.m. – Gates open for Corvette parking.
- 8 a.m. – Breakfast at the Levee Pavilion – Big Dave & Holly’s.
- 8-10:30 a.m. – Registration.
- 9 a.m. – Raffle drawings, silent auction and 50/50 begins.
- 10:30 a.m. – Lunch at the Levee Pavilion – Big Dave & Holly’s.
- 10:15 a.m. – Call to assemble.
- 10:30 a.m. – Color Guard ceremony.
- 11 a.m. – First Riverboat Twilight Cruise; others at 1:30 and 4 p.m.
- 3 p.m. – Awards presentation; 50/50 Drawing, raffle items, silent auction; “C” Class Veterans’ Choice Awards; LeClaire Mayor’s Choice Award; Donation presentation to Vietnam Veterans.
