UScellular donates to local groups

UScellular is spreading holiday joy by donating housing supplies and gift cards to local groups this holiday season.

“Giving back to the people and organizations that make the Quad Cities an area we are proud to call home is what this season is all about,” Mike Richards, UScellular area sales manager, said in a news release. “It is truly a joy to celebrate and connect with the organizations that make our community special.”

The company worked with its local team to learn about the needs in the community and reached out to groups to get wish lists. The donations were delivered recently in a holiday-themed truck.

Those donations include:

  • $5,000 in housing supplies, personal care items and gift cards to Humility Homes & Services to help families at the shelter in Davenport.
  • A $500 gift card for children who participate in East Moline’s “Shop With a Cop” event.
  • A $500 gift card for Brantley Francis Foundation bags in Geneseo, Illinois. The foundation helps pediatric cancer patients and their families. The bags include various toys and gift cards.

The local gifts are among more than 70 donations UScellular will make to help connect with communities.
