A nail salon and a restaurant, both in Davenport, are among 36 recipients of U.S. Small Business Administration loans totalling $14.57 million that are headed to Iowa businesses in November, the Iowa SBA office said last week.
The two projects in Scott County to win loan approvals were:
- NALLY’S KITCHEN, INC. , Davenport, $50,000, nine jobs retained at this limited service restaurants.
- PRETTY NAILS, Davenport, 30,000, three jobs retained at this nail salon.
In all, the Iowa SBA 7(a) and 504 programs capitalized 18 new and 18 existing businesses, according to the SBA’s November 2023 report. They created 204 new jobs and retained 184 jobs as a result.
