Five Iowa QC companies to receive $1.26 million in SBA loans

Five companies in the Iowa Quad Cities region were slated to receive $1.26 million in loans through the Iowa District Office of the U.S. Small Business Association in the month of September.

Here, according to the report, are the companies and projects located in three Iowa Quad Cities counties that won U.S. SBA loan approval last month:

Clinton County:

  • Ultimate Practice Solutions, LLC, Clinton, $675,000. This health care insurance support business expects to retain eight jobs.
  • CLEE Entertainment, $194,000. The full-service restaurant company expects to create two jobs and retain 38 existing jobs.

Muscatine County:

  • K9 Kingdom, Muscatine, $360,000. According to this lessor of nonresidential buildings, the loan will create three new jobs and retain 12.
  • Zoomiez Dog Daycare & Kennel, LLC, Muscatine, $25,000. This pet care facility says it will create three jobs and retain a dozen others. 

Scott County

  • Foothill Consultants, Davenport, $9,000. The loan for the marketing consultant service will retain one job.

In all last month, the U.S. SBA backed 38 loans totaling more than $14 million to Iowa businesses from participating lenders using its two largest lending programs. As a result the SBA’s 7(a) and 504 programs capitalized 19 new and 19 existing businesses. 

In total, those businesses said they expect to create 137 new jobs and retain 178 jobs.
