Trinity to award $207K in scholarships

Trinity College of Nursing & Health Sciences, Friends of Trinity and Trinity Health Foundation have announced that $207,000 in scholarships that will be awarded to future health care professionals in the Quad Cities region. 

The scholarships will be awarded during a recognition dinner at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 5, at Bally’s Casino & Hotel, 777 Bally Boulevard, Rock Island. Scholarships will be awarded to 67 students at the event.

This is an annual event to celebrate scholarship recipients, the families that support them and the generous scholarship donors that make these awards possible.

The master of ceremonies will be Tracy Poelvoorde, chancellor of Trinity College of Nursing & Health Sciences. A keynote address will be presented by Jessica Tapia-Mier, nurse manager of invasive cardiology. The student address will be presented by Iraklis Vorias and Tidisha Doss, students at Trinity College of Nursing & Health Sciences.

Scholarship funds are managed by Trinity Health Foundation and distributed by Trinity College Nursing & Health Sciences.
