Rock Island Mayor Mike Thoms will deliver his 2025 State of the City address on Tuesday, Jan. 28, at Bally’s Quad Cities Casino and Hotel, 777 Bally Blvd., Rock Island, in the event center.
Doors open at 11:30 a.m., with guest speakers beginning at noon. Mr. Thoms will give his address at 12:30 p.m.
The event is free and open to the public. Lunch is available for $10 by registering at https://bit.ly/3PqVDNq by 5 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 24.
In his address, the mayor will highlight accomplishments the City has made in the last year and plans for 2025 as community and city leaders focus on “Reinvesting in Rock Island,” a city news release said.
“I look forward to highlighting the city’s accomplishments in 2024 and sharing our plans for 2025 by Reinvesting in Rock Island through major projects and partnerships,” he said in the release.
The State of the City address will be livestreamed on the city’s YouTube page here and available later for viewing on the city’s website and Facebook page.
