TEDxDavenport returns in October

TedxDavenport will return to the Capitol Theatre in downtown Davenport on Thursday, Oct. 12. 

It will feature numerous speakers, including: blues educator and entertainer Kevin Burt; best-selling American writer Sam Kean; psychologist and career coach Betsy Rippentrop and Kate Moreland; medical inventor Dasia Taylor; mother and cardiac arrest awareness advocate Grace McCubbin; professional wrestler and former Marine Dustan Moesley; orthopedic surgeon, sports medicine specialist and anti-opioid advocate Scott Sigman; investor, entrepreneur and philanthropy advocate Ron Diamond; equitable access to education advocate, entrepreneur and philanthropist Pete Kadens; and surgeon and comedian Kamren Hamid.

The event will run 5:30-7:30 p.m. and tickets are $20 through the event website.
