Taste of LeClaire events set for Saturday

    LECLAIRE, Iowa – About 20 businesses will be participating in the annual Taste of LeClaire celebration from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 21, in this community.

    The event will feature free food and/or drink samples or discounted specials from various shops in LeClaire. Customers must be at least 21 years old to receive alcoholic beverages.

    The participating businesses and their offerings include:

    • LeClaire BP Gas Station – $1 chicken wings.
    • The Crane & Pelican Cafe – sampling their delicious Iowa Corn Dip.
    • LeClaire Olive Oil & Canning Co. – sampling canning products, oils & vinegars, and other treats, too, made with their products.
    • Shelly’s Sweet Sensations – sampling homemade turtle brownie bites.
    • Aunt Hattie’s – sampling their delicious dip mixes and more.
    • Crafted QC – providing samples from Kneaded Kindness and Gobsmacked Chocolates.
    • Wide River Winery Tasting Room – enjoy a complimentary sample of their Irish beer cheese spread paired with a taste of Jury Duty (sweet white wine) or Caught Red Handed (dry red wine).
    • Cody Road Trading Post – sampling Wild Bill’s Craft Sodas.
    • Cody Road Coffee – sampling Buffalo Bill Butterscotch Latte.
    • The Potter’s House – sampling their Amish Hot Pepper Jam and crackers.
    • Bela – sampling flavored crackers and mocha drinks.
    • Ember on the Hill – sampling Molly & You beer bread.
    • Razzleberries – sampling food from Goldie’s Deli.
    • Mississippi River Distilling Company – sampling of new Iowish Peanut Butter Cream Liqueur and white cheddar curds & whiskey fingers from Cinnamon Ridge Farm. 
    • Green Tree Brewery – free beer samples and $15 four-packs of their craft beer.
    • Nest Modern Goods – sampling their delicious dip mixes.
    • The Kitsch-n Sink Antiques – wine sample with purchase of a wine glass.
    • Mississippi Cottage Antiques – sampling baked goods from LeClaire Fareway Bakery.
    • Olathea Creek Winery – $2 off wine and chocolate tastings.
