Rock Island library invites you to stock up on winter reading 

Cold weather is the perfect time to cozy up with a book, and the Rock Island Public Library’s two-day book sale this weekend is the perfect way to stock up your winter reading reserve. 

The sale will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Friday and Saturday, Jan. 24 to 25, at the Downtown Library, 401 19th St.

The sale offers “pay what you want” pricing on anything not specially marked, and is run by  Library PALS (People Advocating for Library Services) volunteers of the Rock Island Public Library Foundation, The 2025 sales are offered on the fourth Fridays and Saturdays of January, April, July, and October.

Unless otherwise marked, all sales are by voluntary donation. Fill up a couple boxes or bags and make an offer. Cash, check, and credit/debit payments accepted. Proceeds benefit the library through Library Foundation PALS contributions.
