Rock Island Arsenal announces change of command at JMC

Brig. Gen. Daniel Duncan has taken command of the Joint Munitions Command (JMC) on the Rock Island Arsenal, assuming responsibility from Brig. Gen. Ronnie Anderson Jr.

The change of command ceremony took place Friday morning, April 25, inside Heritage Hall at the Rock Island Arsenal. Lt. Gen. Chris Mohan, the deputy commanding general and acting commander of the Army Materiel Command, the JMC’s higher headquarters, presided over the event.

Brig. Gen. Duncan was commissioned in April 1994 as an ordnance officer through the Army ROTC program at Washington State University. 

Brig. Gen. Duncan, the 15th commander of JMC, expressed gratitude to his family, mentors, and friends for their support. He affirmed that supporting the warfighter would remain the top priority, emphasizing the dedication of commanders, the talent of the workforce, and the strength of industry partners in ensuring JMC’s readiness for the Army.

In acknowledging the commitment of JMC’s workforce, he noted its reputation for loyalty and determination in meeting the needs of the joint force.

Headquartered at Rock Island Arsenal, JMC provides the joint forces with ready, reliable, and lethal munitions, sustaining global readiness. It serves as the logistics integrator for ammunition life-cycle management and offers global technical support to combat units.
