RI Library hosts weekend book sale

Rock Island Library 'book sale

From novels and comics to Manga and textbooks, book lovers can stock up on it all at the Rock Island Public Library’s two-day sale going on Friday and Saturday, Jan. 26-27, at the Downtown Library

The book sale will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day at 401 19th St. library. 

The Library PALS (People Advocating for Library Services) of the Rock Island Public Library Foundation is hosting the sale. It offers “pay what you want” pricing on items that are not specially marked. Specially priced items include illustrated novels from Marvel, DC Comics, Image Comics, a Manga/Shonen Jump standalone title and homeschooling books/textbooks, a library news release states.  

Book Sales will be held quarterly this year on the fourth Fridays and Saturdays. That includes this weekend, April 26-27, July 26-27 and Oct. 25-26.
