Registration open for UnityPoint Health Cup

Tee times and sponsorships now are available for the Trinity Health Foundation’s 2024 UnityPoint Health Cup golf outing, presented by McLaughlin Motors in Moline.

This year’s golf outing will be Friday, Sept. 6, at TPC Deere Run in Silvis.

All proceeds will benefit UnityPoint Health – Trinity Cancer Center, which provides patients and their families a full continuum of cancer services, including prevention and early detection, as well as the latest treatments and clinical trials.

The event is open to the public. Morning shotgun start will be at 8 a.m. and afternoon shotgun begins at 1 p.m.The cost is $500 per golfer, $2,000 per foursome and includes greens fee, cart rental, continental breakfast, lunch, snacks and beverages, golfer gift and 19th hole celebration with Trinity Health Foundation and Trinity senior leaders at 5:30 p.m.

The demand for cancer services is higher than ever and the cost of waiting for care can be devastating to a patient and their family. Trinity Cancer Center has seen significant growth for cancer care services – 36% in the past five years. While the risk of dying from cancer has been

declining over the past 30 years, rates of new cancer cases are on the rise. For the first time, new cancer cases in the United States are expected to cross 2 million in 2024 – almost 5,500 cancer diagnoses a day, according to the American Cancer Society.
