2023 UnityPoint Health Cup to Benefit Trinity Cancer Center

Trinity Health Foundation has announced tee times and sponsorships are now available for the 2023 UnityPoint Health Cup golf outing, presented by McLaughlin Motors, on Friday, Sept. 8, at TPC Deere Run in Silvis.

All proceeds will benefit UnityPoint Health – Trinity Cancer Center which provides patients and their families a full continuum of cancer services, including prevention and early detection, as well as the latest treatments and clinical trials.

The demand for cancer services is higher than ever and the cost of waiting for care can be devastating to a patient and their family. Trinity Cancer Center has seen considerable growth since 2020. In one year, patient visits increased by 36.4% and within the next 10 years, cancer is expected to surpass heart disease as the leading cause of death in the United States.

“Due to the growing demand for cancer care services, we need to hire more physicians and expand our facilities to help meet our patients’ needs and ensure access to world-class care right here at home,” said Tricia Fisher, director of Oncology Services at UnityPoint Health –  Trinity Cancer Center. “Community support for the UnityPoint Health Cup enables us to serve even more people through our programs and services and make sure no one has to travel far for care.”

For more than 20 years, the UnityPoint Health Cup has provided philanthropic support for UnityPoint Health – Trinity, generating more than $2 million for innovative technology, treatments and services at Trinity hospitals.

The Trinity Health Foundation 2023 UnityPoint Health Cup is Sept. 8 with a morning shotgun at 7 a.m. and afternoon shotgun at 12:45 p.m. The cost is $500 per golfer, $2,000  per foursome and includes greens fee, cart rental, continental breakfast, lunch, all  day snacks and beverages, golfer gift and 19th hole celebration with Trinity Health  Foundation and Trinity senior leaders starting at 5 p.m.
