Realtors association presents awards, installs 2024 board

The Quad City Area REALTORS announced its annual award winners and installed its 2024 slate of leaders during festivities Friday, Dec. 1, at the Hotel Blackhawk in downtown Davenport.

With a crowd of 160 on hand, the association presented and congratulated both the winners of its 2023 awards and its new officers at the QCAR Holiday Party and Installation Dinner.

For the upcoming year, the members who will serve as the QCAR Board of Directors are: President David Gellerman of Hawkeye Commercial Real Estate; President-elect Craig Newcomb of Ruhl&Ruhl REALTORS; Secretary/Treasurer Amanda Yeggy, Navigate Realty; and Past President Dennis Bell, Mel Foster Co.

In addition, these members will be board directors: Dwayne Anderson, Dwayne Anderson Co. Commercial Real Estate; Fred Dasso, Mel Foster; Joel Hansen, QC Home Appraisal; Ted Leuck and Jon Loquist, both of Ruhl&Ruhl; Katie Sommers, ReMax Concepts; Leanna Trees, Mel Foster; and Rachel Thomas, Haven.Real Estate. 

The evening also included these award recipients:

  • REALTOR of the Year – Kendra Mulcahy, of Ruhl&Ruhl, received the highest honor the association can bestow upon a member. The award honors someone that is an industry leader, active in the association, and working to build community.
  • William E. Stradt/Bud Hill Distinguished Service Award – Regen Johnson of Ruhl&Ruhl, received the award dedicated to someone who is improving the region and is known for having a positive impact through outreach work, being both active in the industry and the community-at-large.
  • Senior Statesman Award – Jon Loquist of Ruhl&Ruhl. This award recognizes a commitment to the REALTOR community that is unqualified and sustained.
  • Rookies of the Year – Steven Sutton-Gordon, Ruhl&Ruhl, and Leanna Trees, Mel Foster. This award is presented to a realtor who sets himself or herself apart from peers through positive engagement with the association and during their first two years as a primary member of QCAR.
  • Business Partner of the Year – Mark and Tracy Crowley of National Property Inspections. This award goes to the business partner who has shown steadfast dedication, support and service to the association.
