QuadCities.com website launches new app

QuadCities.com – which bills itself as the Quad Cities “site for positive news” – recently launched its new app for iOS and Android.

The new software application is the only media app in the region dedicated to the Quad-Cities entertainment scene and good news about the local community, according to a news release from QuadCities.com.

“Every day, the app offers QuadCities.com’s signature mix of entertainment, good news about the community, health news, our comprehensive local business directory, podcasts, restaurant and movie reviews and more,” the news release said.

The app also features “quick, easy navigation to thousands of unique pieces of local content, and users can create their own profiles and set their preferred content by simply browsing, getting instant alerts and receiving a daily digest direct to their phone.”

With the app, QuadCities.com said, users can:

  • Read the latest daily articles, columns, reviews and positive news.
  • Listen to the site’s collection of more than 100 local podcasts on the QuadCities.com Local Podcast Hub.
  • Browse a complete yellow page directory of all local businesses – including maps and driving directions to each.

The QuadCities.com website broadcasts daily content to its social media and news feed audience consisting of more than 30,000 followers and subscribers. That’s combined with thousands of daily visits from the hundreds of keyword phrases where QuadCities.com ranks on the first page of Google search.

The app also will give users quick and easy navigation and a powerful search function. The company said: “You can build a personalized favorites collection of articles, columns, podcasts, and local businesses for easy future reference. You can also select custom instant notifications to receive the latest breaking news, announcements, and local business deals.”
