The Quad Cities will welcome about 240 anglers for the Phoenix Bass Fishing League Regional Tournament presented by T-H Marine on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 3-4. The event, hosted by Visit Quad Cities, will be headquartered at The Isle Hotel & Casino Bettendorf.
Competitors, fishing as both boaters and co-anglers in 120 boats, will target the Mississippi River pools 14, 15, and 16. Takeoff will occur daily at 7 a.m. from Leach Park, Bettendorf, with weigh-ins scheduled there at 3 p.m.
“We are thrilled to welcome Major League Fishing (MLF) back to the Quad Cities,” said Jessica VanDyke, Visit QC’s business growth and sports development manager. “This tournament is such a special way to activate the Mighty Mississippi, and we’re fortunate to have the riverfront resources that make an event like this possible.”
The Phoenix Bass Fishing League offers a pathway to higher-level tournaments, including the Toyota Series and Bass Pro Tour. Top awards include a $50,000 Phoenix 819 Pro with a 200 HP outboard for the top boater and $20,000 for the top co-angler. The top three boaters and co-anglers from this regional event will advance to the prestigious All-American tournament.
Daily limits are five bass per boater and three bass per co-angler, with winners determined by the heaviest two-day catch. Weigh-ins will be broadcast live on MajorLeagueFishing.com. Entry fees are $350 for boaters and $175 for co-anglers.
