Homeowners, prospective buyers and DIYer’s alike all will find experts and new products at this weekend’s Quad Cities Builders and Remodelers (QCBR) Association annual Home Show.
Billed by QCBR as the original and largest home show in the region, the event show will be Friday to Sunday, Feb. 13-15, at the Bend XPO in East Moline.
Organizers said this year’s show was a sellout to vendors who are all eager to discuss project ideas and turn them into reality.
The QCBR Home Show will run from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday and Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday.
According to QCBR’s website, in honor of its 49th show it is rolling back admission prices. Admission is $6 all day Friday and $8 on Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are cash only.
Attendees can meet with homebuilders, remodelers and home improvement experts to see how the latest products “measure up.”
Hosted by the Davenport-based QCBR, the annual show is sponsored by these companies and organizations: River City Pella Windows and Doors; CBI Bank & Trust; Jackson Generator & Home Services; Better Business Bureau; Flawless Finishing, Inc.; Lovewell Fencing Inc.; ACE Waterproofing & Basement Solutions; Builders FirstSource; King’s Material; Plumb Supply; Steve’s Mirror & Glass; Stand Strong Fencing; Budget Blinds; Patt Co. Design; and Veterans Choice Contracting.
The event also offers opportunities to bid on several student-built items in the Student Trades Room. Proceeds raised will be split between supporting local high school trades programs and half to QCBR’s own student hands-on event Build My Future. planned for Tuesday, April 21 and funding scholarships for area graduating seniors.
During the show, guests also can start designing their dream home with area builders and teams participating in a designated Meet the Builder Room at the Bend XPO.
