QCBJ to host Fastest Growing Companies event

The Quad Cities Regional Business Journal is preparing to roll out its inaugural Fastest Growing Companies event and is accepting nominations now.

The recognition event identifies and honors the region’s most dynamic companies that have made significant contributions to the strength of the local economy.

“This event is essentially a localized version of Inc. Magazine’s 5000 Fastest-Growing Private Companies in America,” said John Lohman, group publisher for the QCBJ. “Celebrating entrepreneurship and the success of private enterprise is the foundation of this event.”

The QCBJ’s Fastest Growing Companies reception will be from 5:30-7:30 p.m., August 9, at Bally’s Quad Cities, 777 Bally Boulevard, Rock Island.

At the QCBJ event, the rankings will be announced and the Top 25 Fastest Growing Companies will be honored. Videos will be presented featuring the top winners. The CEO from the No. 1 Fastest Growing Company will share the company’s story during the reception.

Honorees will be ranked according to revenue growth over a two-year period with both dollar and percentage increases being taken into account. The QCBJ, a publication of the Corridor Media Group, is partnering with Honkamp Krueger PC to confidentially accept the applications. Honkamp Krueger will determine all the nominees’ percentage growth from 2019-2021.

Fastest Growing Companies is open to companies headquartered in Rock Island, Henry and Mercer counties in Illinois and Scott, Clinton and Muscatine counties in Iowa. To be eligible, companies must be for profit entities and have revenue of at least $350,000 in each of the fiscal years ending 2019, 2020 & 2021. The companies also must show revenue growth in 2021, as compared to 2019 (a two-year period).

The event is sponsored by IMEG, Honkamp Krueger & Co., Russell and Travero. For information about sponsorships, contact Rhonda Roskos at [email protected]. For event information, contact Jenni Hatz at [email protected]

Companies must submit a completed nomination form and a compiled, reviewed or audited financial statement or tax return (first four pages of income tax returns).
