The 2026 Hubbell-Waterman Foundation grant cycle is now open for nonprofits serving Scott and Rock Island counties.
“The Hubbell-Waterman Foundation is proud to support the organizations that help our communities grow and adapt,” David Lundy, chair of the Hubbell-Waterman Foundation’s Board of Trustees, said in a recent news release. “These grants reflect our belief that lasting regional impact comes from local leadership, collaboration, and a shared commitment to opportunity for all.”
Last year, Hubbell-Waterman Foundation distributed more than $2 million in grants to support projects and programs in three focus areas: education, social welfare, and culture and the arts. Nonprofits working in one or more of these areas are encouraged to apply. In 2025, significant grants were made to 67 area nonprofits.
Funding is available to support capital campaigns and capital acquisitions, operational and program grants, and multi-year program grants. The Hubbell-Waterman Foundation is committed to funding both larger, established institutions and smaller programs and newer organizations.
“Nonprofits are essential to the health and future of the Quad Cities,” Courtney Stiefel, this funding cycle’s grants chair, said. “From meeting immediate needs to creating long-term change, their work reaches every corner of our region. We are honored to partner with organizations that are helping people and communities thrive.”
The 2026 applications are due by Saturday, Aug. 15. Applications must be submitted through the online grant system administered by the Quad Cities Community Foundation at www.hubbellwaterman.org.
The private Hubbell-Waterman Foundation was founded in 1967 by the late Larned and Mary Hubbell Waterman.
