QC Hispanic Chamber, QC Symphony partner for concert

The Greater Quad Cities Hispanic Chamber of Commerce is the Quad City Symphony Orchestra’s Promo Partner for this weekend’s Masterworks Concert, “From Conflict to Courage.”

Promo Partners allows the Quad City Symphony Orchestra to offer visibility and financial support for community organizations through ticket purchase give-back donations, according to a news release. As a Promo Partner, 50% of all ticket purchases that use the code GQCHCC online at checkout will be donated to the Greater Quad Cities Hispanic Chamber of Commerce

The concerts — featuring Conductor Mark Russell Smith and Cuban American Cellist Tommy Mesa — will begin at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7, at the Adler Theatre,136 East Third St., Davenport, and 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 8, at Centennial Hall, 3703 Seventh Ave., Rock Island. 

In conjunction with Saturday’s concert, there also will be a pre-show mixer running 6-7:15 p.m. at the Mississippi River Distilling Company Downtown Lounge, 318 East Second St., Davenport. The mixer offers an opportunity to mingle before a five-minute walk to the Adler, according to the release. Appetizers will be provided by Bayside Bistro.
