The Putnam Museum and Science Center is preparing for its 2025 Gala, presented by The Khaliq Group of Wells Fargo. This year, the gala has a twist on the normal dress code: Time Travelers.
Each group is welcome to choose a specific time period and come in costume. Periods such as Ancient Greece, the French Revolution, the Renaissance, and 1970s Disco are available, with one group winning the night for their decorations and costumes.
The Time Traveler’s Ball also will allow for a sneak peak of The Putnam’s brand new Vault. The Vault is under construction and will feature floor-to-ceiling glass cases with shelving that showcases part of the museum’s 250,000-item collection. The Vault will not be accessible to the public until early May.
Additionally, three celebrity chefs, including Chef James from Crow Valley Golf Club, will be competing to win over guests’ tastebuds with an array of delicious food and signature drinks from different eras.
The Putnam Museum will also hold a live auction, wine pull, and a fund-a-need to generate much needed funds for operations, upcoming exhibits, and educational programming. Additional support is provided by the Quad Cities Cultural Trust.
Tickets are $90 per seat and offer a unique opportunity to help fund the institution. Interested parties can go to the Putnam Museum’s website to learn more and purchase seats. Guests are encouraged to sign up quickly to secure their preferred time period. Reservations should be made by Tuesday, Feb. 18.
