Per Mar buys Wisconsin-based Dream System division

Per Mar Security Services, the largest family-owned, full-service security company in the Midwest and headquartered in Davenport, has acquired Dream System’s security division. The move further expands its customer base in northern Wisconsin.

The business acquisition was announced Tuesday, Aug. 9, by Per Mar.

For the past 22 years, Seth and Nicki Ferrin have owned and operated Dream Systems. In the announcement to their security customers, they said: “As many of you know, Nicki and I have pursued some of our personal goals and involved ourselves heavily in our volunteer work. We felt the need to merge our security division with a company that shares our goals, ethics, and drive to succeed. Per Mar, a family-owned business like ours, is the perfect match. Your safety and security of your home and business intrusion systems will continue to be their focus. We are retaining our IT division of Dream Systems IT. IT has been our niche for a very long time. With this new merger, we can focus solely on one vertical. We are very excited to continue this path with our IT team.”

The acquisition will help Per Mar as the company has branch locations in both Minocqua and Schofield, Wisconsin, according to company officials.

“Dream Systems has a very loyal client base in northern Wisconsin, and we look forward to serving these customers for years to come,” said Brian Duffy, CEO of Per Mar. “We already have a great customer base in that area, and some really exceptional employees.”

This is the latest business acquisition by the Quad Cities-based security company. Last year, Per Mar bought Armored Security, a residential and commercial security and locksmith provider in the Twin Cities.

Per Mar has been family-owned since 1953, and has more than 2,860 employees, according to the company website.
