He replaces Kevin Ryan, who is shifting careers to focus solely on his personal wealth management practice. “I’ve spent 10 years growing this office and serving our talented advisors, and it felt like the right time in my career to make this change,” Mr. Ryan said in a news release announcing the leadership change. “I’m proud of what we built and know Tim will expand upon what we’ve done.”

Mr. Harrington will be responsible for growing the office through financial advisor growth and development as well as supporting established financial advisors. He is tasked with building and investing in the growth of the Davenport office and community, and with creating an inclusive culture that engages employees, builds leaders and attracts a diverse group of talent.

“This opportunity is an honor, and I’m thankful for Kevin and Kalvin Grabau Keele’s help in making this a smooth and seamless transition,” Mr. Harrington said. “I’m excited to build upon the amazing culture and framework that has been built to date.

In the release, Mr. Grabau Keele, Northwestern Mutual’s managing partner – Eastern Iowa, added: “We are thrilled to have Tim step into this key role. He has proven to be an essential contributor to our company’s goals and has made a tremendous impression on our entire organization.”

Mr. Harrington joined Northwestern Mutual – Davenport in 2021 as a field director. His predecessor, Mr. Ryan, joined in 2007 as an intern and quickly rose up the ranks of leadership. He has served as managing director since 2012.
